I happened across this chic when looking to watch an old Cat Stevens performance of "Moonshadow" (one of my favorite songs) a few months ago. Her voice is intense. I really dig these covers, and she has some quality new stuff she's working on as well. All I can glean from her YouTube page is that her first name is Joanna, and she's from San Gabriel, CA. hi.. her name is Joanna Wang and she has just released a debut album in Taiwan for Sony/BMG. there is a videoclip in youtube, just search on her name Joanna Wang - Start From Here is the album title. she is not too happy with it, the love songs and such is not her style. but she was 15 when she signed and altogether managed to have three of her own compositions on the album.
she lived in the US until 15, then she moved to Taipei in Taiwan. she regularly performs in the Riverside Cafe, if you google this you will find an article about the Cafe and Joanna.
